This is a very short Diary and perhaps the question I have has been discussed. I have not seen it if it has.
Since the 60's and 70's foreign nationals have been prohibited from contributions and donations, directly or indirectly, in connection with any Federal, State or local election.
Citizen's United may be a way to sneak in a donation, because of the poor reporting of donors, but that is illegal none the less.
My question would be:
If a company inverted to Ireland, wouldn't that keep them from donating or lobbying in the US?
